Accessibility at Expr3ss!

Everyone deserves the opportunity to show what they can do

We believe recruitment should be accessible to everyone.

Whether you're applying on a computer, tablet or mobile phone, using assistive technology, or simply prefer a different way of interacting, we want your experience with Expr3ss! to be as straightforward, intuitive and inclusive as possible.

Accessibility is an important part of how we design, build and improve Expr3ss!.

Because when barriers are removed, employers are better able to discover great people — and candidates have a fairer opportunity to show what they can do.

Our Commitment

Accessibility isn't something we "finish."

Technology evolves. People's needs change. So do we.

We're committed to continually improving the accessibility of the Expr3ss! platform, listening to feedback from candidates and employers, and making accessibility part of the way we design, develop and improve our products.

Our goal is simple: to help every candidate participate confidently and fairly in the recruitment process.

What we're doing today

We're progressively enhancing the applicant experience with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our target.

Recent improvements include:

  • Improved keyboard navigation.

  • Clearer keyboard focus indicators.

  • More accessible form controls.

  • Ongoing usability improvements.

We're also reviewing the applicant experience as we continue improving accessibility across the platform.

While accessibility is an active priority, we don't currently claim formal WCAG conformance, an independent accessibility audit or a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).

Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we improve Expr3ss!, and we'll continue enhancing the experience as the platform evolves.

If you need assistance

Everyone interacts with technology differently, and we understand there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach.

If you need assistance completing an application, employers using Expr3ss! can support candidates in several ways.

Depending on the recruitment process, employers can:

  • Assist you in completing an application.

  • Accept information through alternative application methods where appropriate.

  • Record externally received applications within Expr3ss!, ensuring every applicant is managed consistently throughout the recruitment process.

Our aim is to help employers provide reasonable adjustments while maintaining a fair and consistent hiring experience for everyone.

Using your browser's accessibility features

Modern web browsers include a wide range of accessibility features that can make websites easier to use.

Expr3ss! is designed to work with these built-in features, allowing you to use the accessibility tools you're already familiar with.

Depending on your needs, these may include:

  • Browser zoom

  • Screen readers

  • Reader or reading modes

  • Read Aloud features

  • High contrast modes

  • Colour enhancement settings

  • Keyboard-only navigation

These tools can assist applicants with a range of accessibility needs, including low vision, colour vision deficiency, dyslexia, cognitive or learning differences, and users who prefer keyboard navigation or assistive technologies.

If you're already using accessibility features provided by your browser or operating system, they should continue to work while using Expr3ss!.
