For me, the biggest cost saving across our 200 stores, is ensuring the quality of candidates and getting a candidate more likely to succeed and reducing the churn rate. One needs to take into account the hidden cost of team turnover for the wrong hires as well as the detrimental cost to business for getting it wrong in terms of team morale, poor customer experience and damage to your brand. By closing off job adverts it significantly impacted traffic to our web site which in turn engages visitors and often leads to unexpected and appreciated sales as candidates window shop and purchase. We can measure NSW purchases and given NSW job adverts were iced it severely impacted purchasers from NSW. Now having reinstated these adverts in the largest state, sales have increased noticeably.
